Hongqiang WANG
Dr.Hongqiang Wang is an associate professor and researcher (senior) of Southern University of Science and Technology, Deputy dean of Robotics Research Institute of Southern University of Science and Technology, national young talent, Pearl River Talent (youth), professional leader of robotics, and the first "Good Mentor and Friend" outstanding graduate tutor of Southern University of Science and Technology. He received his PhD in Precision Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2015, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University from 2015 to 2018. He has been teaching at Southern University of Science and Technology since September 2018. Over the years, he has focused on the research of the basic mechanism model of electrostatic flexible drive and its advanced application technology in multiple scenarios, and has established a series of systematic theoretical and methodological achievements of electrostatic flexible drive, including materials, design methods, analysis theories and application technologies. It has been included in International Journal or Robotics Research, IEEE Transactions on Robotics, Nature Communications, Science Robotics And other top journals in the field of robotics. Won the fifth "Xiong Yulun Zhihu Outstanding Young Scholar Award". Presided over national key research and development projects (topics), national natural surface projects, Guangdong surface projects, etc. At present, he is a young editorial board member of International Journal of Hydromechatronics, a member of the Robot Intelligence Committee of the Chinese Society of Automation, a member of the Fluid transmission and Control sub-committee of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, and a member of the Medical-industrial Integration Sub-committee of the Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Society.
